I spend a lot of time looking at tidepools and scanning the sky. I'm a naturalist and macro photographer based near Santa Cruz on the California coast — most of my time goes toward rocky intertidal sites, minus tides, shorebirds, and whatever else turns up in the ocean margins between Año Nuevo and Point Reyes. This is where I put the photographs worth keeping.
